JULY 2025 TDM

Whether it be sleep or death, you feel your eyes close, and as your body begins to let go, you see an inky starry nothingness spread out around you. You feel yourself mouth the words, “I wish, I wish..” and utter your deepest and darkest desire.
When you regain consciousness, you’ll find you are in an unfamiliar place with no recognition of how you arrived here. You have the clothes on your back, but nothing else. No weapons and if you had a particular superpower, you’ll notice it is missing. All you have is a satchel with a piece of bread, a vial of water, and a potion. The potion could be red, blue or golden. There are no instructions about these potions other than two words: Drink Me.
Though there is nothing to prove it, you just know you have made a promise, a contract of sorts, with something and someone who remains but a shadow in your memories.
- 💐 Daffodils imbue dreamers with the strong desire to be impulsive and try new things. This could be anything from speaking to someone new, to starting a new hobby or taking up something completely against their morals at the extreme... so long as the concept of them attempting is something new and exciting! Unfortunately, seeing one of these flowers wilt means that the person is slated for death. When? That part's a little more ambiguous.
- 🌸 Lily of the Valley is a garden staple, with one of the simplest effects of all. Touching the small bell-shaped flowers of this plant causes compulsive truth-telling. This honesty counts for anything, lying is simply not possible. If someone tries to lie through the honesty their words are twisted and forced to come out in an honest phrase no matter what. It could be as simple as stating someone's shoes are ugly or confessing something much darker or more vulnerable.
No matter your adventures in the garden with its many plants, before long you are found representatives from both the City of Stellari and Somnius. They seem interested in selling their city to each Dreamer that appears, so that they can choose where to begin their new life in this world more informed.

By the morning of the new month, posters have been plastered throughout the city of Stellari and on the bulletin board in Somnius. Those who take the time to read these posters will find all the information they need
To all inhabitants who are up for a challenge: help us to curb the new magical scourge that has appeared across our lands! Bring the heads of the creatures overruning the locations on this map to local authorities of Stellari to receive a cord reward. Their numbers must be culled to keep the natural creature hierarchy preserved!"
There are rumors that these creatures started appearing as the crystal overgrowth in Visium receded through the collective efforts of both those who live in Stellari and Somnius. While the achievement is positive, there are bound to be side effects, as seen in the last month. Luckily, THIS side effect is far more benign, but certainly still a task for everyone to get involved in. It is possible to keep creatures instead of kill them, but of course, only one of each kind at most.
Take up supplies from several depots set up across either city, and use the special spell balls to catch (and deliver...or keep) the creatures with leash spells that are cast by tossing the balls at them. Only certain kinds of creatures are in certain areas, so if you're a collect them all kind of guy, it looks like there's some traveling in your future!
ꕥ Visium Forest is the new home to the Earthen Crystal Dragonwings. The dragonwings are no bigger than the palm of someone's hand, and are entirely made of stone and crystal floating and held together by magic. These little guys seem to be quite dusty, and are also quite quick despite their stony appearance. They will use the forest's natural growth to hide and burrow into the ground, so perhaps a shovel or two might help dig up the hidden dragonlings so you can do with them what you will. They're quite mischievous as well, so watch out for tied up branches and vines made into tripping hazards!
ꕥ Somnius itself seems to be afflicted by Ashelings, smokey creatures that are desperately trying to make their homes in the walls of the town buildings. They can't stand rain, as the rain will put out their smokey flames that make up their snakelike bodies. Unfortunately, getting rid of Ashelings takes a delicate hand, considering they're often inside the walls of the local population's homes. Flutes have been provided in the supplies to help lead the Ashelings out much like a piper leading rats (or children) out into the wilderness. What you choose to do with them after is left...ambiguous.
ꕥ Lake Termina's fish supply is falling victim to Kelpoons, froglike creatures with sharp shark teeth and delightful singing voices. Unfortunately, they're also quite ravenous at this age, and local bonefish populations are being driven to near extinction due to the number of Kelpoons living in the waters. They seem partial to warmer waters, so in order to make them a little easier to catch, it's highly recommended to shower them with ice or some kind of cooling potion. The colder they are, the more drowsy they get! It is possible to kill them by freezing them solid.
ꕥ Briar Swamp seems to have fallen victim to an outrageous smell, but no creatures have been seen. It's only at night that pairs of glowing dots can be seen floating through the environment, protected by swirls of wind. It's only on cloudy days that it's clear these glowing dots are actually the eyes in the center of tiny little tornados, decorated with all sorts of different debris to make them truly unique. These Whorlwinds can be dispatched by spinning them in the opposite direction of their own winds, their eyes becoming gems and the proof of their defeat.
Note: Exterminating the "pest" creatures is the intended outcome from the notice maker. However, as mentioned it's also possible to simply catch the creatures if you so choose instead.

With more of the old landscape being returned to how it was before the Crystalline Disaster, there's renewed interest from the inhabitants of Somnius who have started to remember certain things about their homeland that had long since been forgotten. Whether it's due to the magics being released back into the world or something else is harder to discern. When asked why they remember, they just shrug and continue about their day, waving away any Dreamer concerns. While relations have gotten better, they don't seem quite interested in involving dreamers very deeply in their lives.
However, it's impossible to miss the new hobby spreading like wildfire in Visium: Archaeology. Several locations around the Labyrinth have opened up maze like tunnels that expose ancient styled architecture. Murals span long hallways depicting flying dragons, tall pillars carved to represent craggy lava rocks and dragon wings. These long hallways often open into palatial rooms and spaces that look almost as if they used to be the remnants of living quarters, social spaces, and other locations all underneath and twining through the tall island of Visium.
Those who take up the new hobby, or are hired by one of two archaeology groups are tasked with navigating this excavation site and bringing back interesting artifacts they may find. Some of the things that can be found in the rubble are gleaming gems of 4 different colors. Alone they seem benign but when held in combination with other colors they create different magical effects. It's emphasized to try and keep from mixing the gems, only bringing them to the surface one color at a time. However, they're not always found this way. Dreamers are encouraged to proceed carefully with these gems in particular as they bring up bits and pieces of this lost civilization.
These two Archaeology factions are either associated with Seravo or Myrta respectively, and they will both appreciate donations about these newly revealed subterranean ruins.ꕥ Red and Blue - Create fireworks that seem to just be pretty at first, but if you linger in the same area, the stone around the reaction starts to morph, shifting into ancient stone dragonlings that will attack on sight as if they're protecting something sacred.
ꕥ Yellow and Red - The reaction of these two gems is a positive one, and perhaps the only utilitarian one. When these gems are rubbed together, they create a magical light that will guide the user out of where they are to the place they most desire to go in that moment—so long as that location happens to be on either the island of Visium or Lumindeas.
ꕥ Green and Yellow - These gems brush against each other and they dissolve immediately. The liquid created will burn through anything - including skin, but the moment it touches stone it turns into a rapidly growing moss! This moss has a strange soothing effect, and could possibly be used to help someone restless find a better night's sleep when decanted properly. Unfortunately, this moss will grow on anything AND anyone. Don't become a mossy stone!
ꕥ Blue and Green - When gems of these colors grind against each other they create glowing fireflies in the area they're in. Unfortunately for those with the lightning bugs, they seem to be a pesty variety and look to devour any kind of cloth they can find, almost ravenously. You might wanna run for the hills before all you have left on you are your leather boots!

It's been a long month, and the stress of recent events is startlingly clear in the population that makes up Stellari and the town of Somnius. Though there's much for Seravo to worry about, he delegates responsibility for easing the people's weariness to his wife, who seems more than thrilled to take up the mantle of ambassador. Once the moon rises in the sky that night, the beach in Somnius begins to glitter and glow as it slowly changes, Yuraia's servants manning spectral booths and draping stardust decorations. Dotted along the shore are several booths for massage, where those who wish to can either participate with guidance or receive a relaxing massage that will enhance good moods and ease bad ones.
Sections of the beach are morphed into hilly areas with places to hide, and upon inspection, there are rows of magical waterguns at the entrance. Those who wish to enter will be encouraged to play in the team-based watergun fight, the water in their guns enchanted with spells that will temporarily illuminate opponents who are shot with a golden glow, making them easier to spot.
Another location is set up with boats, where participants can choose to fish, or simply talk with their boating partner. Those who whisper conversations will find they attract more fish to their boat, making it easier to catch fish to turn in for prizes. Not far from this location is a fire pit where fish that have been caught can be cooked, as well as a place dishing out smashed watermelon. If you're feeling a little aggressive, helping smash those melons is also an option. Going for a dip after is your only chance to wash off, though!
Silver Sleep Beach in Lumindeas isn't forgotten, despite the festivities being focused on Visium's beach. Moonbeams filter down from the sky and land on the Silver Sleep Beach, offering a quick, relaxing flight through the night sky to land on Visium's own, so that those who live in Lumindeas can more quickly access the festivities.

One day, it doesn't matter what day, a message appears on some dreamers' devices, with no discernible user attached.
What's the worst thing you've ever done?
As if by magic, dreamers will feel compelled to answer, but also to answer truthfully. Once answered, there's no way to delete it from their phone or take back where it goes, as it is sent out into the network for all to see and comment on. There's no response from the initial person who asked the question, but perhaps there's a feeling of mischievous delight hanging in the air.
[[If you do not wish to participate in this prompt, simply assume your character did not get this message. All threads are public initially, and can only be privatized after the initial answer. Threadjacking is allowed and encouraged so long as it is allowed in individual character permission posts.]]
