[spoilers for p5r! this is a new canonpoint from last tdm & please mind warnings in his permissions.]

flower magic

[Manual labor isn't a problem - it's the childish flower crown on his head, woven with bright purple columbine that annoys him. The only consolation everyone in the field looks like a happy little cult member too. It would be out of place to remove it, so he adjusts it when necessary and ignores it otherwise.

He takes to watering - simple, easy and while the can is heavy in his arms, it's no worse than holding his own bodyweight while bouldering.

The problem comes when those little damp spots of mud-

Twist into something hilarious.

His mind helpfully forms images and shapes from the discolored pieces of muk - disintegrating shadows, the cat sticker on a cafe cup, items from collapsed palaces, the mustache on the tv producer, a limp hand fading into pulsing walls and -

The can drops from his hands as he holds his stomach from a quiet, shaking laughter, doing his best to stifle the embarrassing reaction. It gets a little high pitched, a little wild and to whoever's nearby, he chokes out through restrained laughter-

My apologies. I don't know what's come over me.

cleansing

[Look, he's doing his part. He's playing the act of a helpful teenager in a bizarre world.

But he's starting to think he hates most animals. More specifically, he hates this goat. Someone gave it a name - Danger. He didn't heed it and now he was paying the price.

Every movement attracts Danger, the foul little creature that slams into him with reckless abandon. The mud collects on his face like a jigsaw face mask. Sometimes he manages a few moments without it careening into him. Sometimes it even misses him once he gets the goat pattern down.

He's just not getting anything done and it's making every action take 5x the amount of time it should. To the point he wishes it was just a shadow he could crush under his heel.

But it's not a shadow. It's a goat. One with tenacity and a grudge.

His safe haven is a shed roof that he managed to climb up to - a place the goat could reach and despite its content expression now that Akechi's not in the field, it continues to watch him with its beady eyes. There's enough intensity in its gaze that Akechi begins to believe in reincarnation.

He throws a stick in the opposite direction to divert its attention. The goat doesn't move.

Of course not. I suppose this is on me for not doing my research first.

[Someone please help.]

[cw: spiders

He wasn't even involved in touching the familiars - all he did was watch from the sidelines, checking out the assortment of creatures. Explosion. Things are glowing and-

There are spiders lining up on his pant leg. A whole generation the size of his pinky finger to the palm of his hand.

He doesn't even react. They're an irritation he tries to shake off to some avail, only to have them crawl back up. He tries to flick them, tries to smash one, pluck one by the leg and -

Nothing.

Please tell me there's a cure for this.
